Last year I was given a special gift from one of my besties and first when I read it I said “wow this is a bit too much.” I said that because it deals with some at home stuff that you may have been avoiding in the process of losing weight, but is important in the healing process.  The book is called A Course in Weight loss by Marianne Williamson and can I tell you this book was awesome??  As a visionary and goal setter I thought to myself as I was cleaning my office this weekend I am sure some of you are getting ready to work on some weight loss goals and by far this is a book that needs to be added to your book shelf for reading.

It’s official !!!!! It is the last quarter of 2011

Now maybe you experienced an incredible year like we did and we hope you did. 2011 was a year of great reflections, great relationships, new outlook and a new level of goals.

I remember back in May I met with a group of teen girls to train them on they putting together their vision boards and they took the world by storm. These girls have done amazing things and all I can think of is this these girls are focused. They have a made up their minds about their future, have great leadership, mentors that are rearing them in the right directions and they have goals. Yes even at 13 years proves you can start that early. Next we are going to a marriage workshop to do the same in December and this will be awesome to see what comes to the table. Stay tuned!!!!!

Did you write goals at this young age? Do you have goals now? Is your vision clear and concise? And are you working on it everyday?

If you said yes to one of these questions then by golly you are on the path to creating a life of purpose on purpose

If you said no to most of these questions, then by golly we have some work to do.

Step into your Divine Purpose

The Circle of Ten

About 5 years ago I purchased my home as is, although it needed a little TLC it has been a home to which I have grown to love. The kids have great friends that come over and we have great neighbors and it has just been a blessing to live there.

In the process of updating the house the yard just needed drastic help, because it had 2 trees one in my yard and one in the neighbor’s yard. The lawn had moss from the overgrown roots that had taken over all the nutrients to feed the grass. Year after year we tried grass seed and it would not take because of the sandy soil and the roots, but last year we had a new neighbor move in and she removed her tree and basically re-did her whole yard.

What happened next?? We would not give up on this lawn and my husband made an another attempt to get a different kind of grass seed and gathered my sons friends to help turn over the lawn. -I watched from the window with a smile.

Now this is where it is funny!!! Last weekend after all that rain we needed to mow the yard because it had grown out of control and when we did, we noticed that the lawn has grown in places that we never had grass, the lawn is so thick and rich it almost looks like sod, and I just keep thinking to myself ” it is the most beautiful grass I have seen and I can’t believe it really all grew in.”

I told my husband again it just proves when you don’t give up on something you believe in you never know what will happen we just trust God in every step of the way.

In all that we do we must continue to plant seeds in our children, work,our dreams,businesses and ministry. Keep planting seeds with a heart of joy and expectation, pray that your harvest will be bountiful and the God who supplies all of our needs will bless in dew season.

Now let’s get this clear there are times when traffic is delayed, that many things happen and you later find out that God was strategically keeping you still to keep you from harms way. That is true!!! But Shanitra thought intently she missed it!!!

When She told me this story I thought there are many times in life where great opportunities come once and if we are not paying attention, if we become a sceptic about every person or every event then we miss it, if we procrastinate with making a decision we miss it. And sometimes, not like Shanitra the opportunity does not come back around.

Shanitra told me that after this she will continue to pray for Gods perfect will in her life because she does not want to miss a beat as far as His will in her life. I hope you feel the same. Keep Praying with perseverance that God will lead you with all understanding of the next step, so that you to do not miss the opportunity.

“Therefore be very careful how you live – not as unwise but as wise, 16 taking advantage of every opportunity, because the days are evil” (Eph 5:15-16).
